Job summary

South Shore YMCA in Hanover, MA is seeking a part-time SACC Site Coordinator to plan and operate an Afterschool program. You will oversee a site or multiple sites, provide leadership to coordinators, and promote YMCA values while serving children, families, and volunteers.

The role requires experience with school-age programs, knowledge of EEC regulations, and the ability to foster positive relationships. CPR/First Aid training will be provided by the Y, with hours up to 29 per week.

Qualifications

• Must meet EEC requirements: minimum of one year experience with school age children (HS diploma) OR minimum of nine months experience with school age children (w/Associates) OR minimum of six months experience with school age children (w/BA).
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Knowledge and experience with EEC regulations and QRIS is preferred.
• Ability to develop positive, effective working relationships with staff, children & families, volunteers, school administrators.
• CPR and 1st Aid required and provided by the Y; PD requirements and trainings upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and operate Afterschool site and provide guidance to Site Coordinators to meet YMCA objectives.
• Ensure compliance with EEC licensing procedures and QRIS/HEPA standards.
• Supervise program staff and volunteers; communicate requirements to supervisor.
• Engage families and members, respond to inquiries, build community.
• Maintain safe, clean, well-equipped facilities and equipment for children.
• Support community involvement and fundraising activities and collaborations.
• Uphold mission, leadership, and professionalism in service to youth.
