Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a team-oriented associate for the meat and seafood department. You will provide friendly guest service, merchandise products, and assist in daily department operations.

Responsibilities include preparing knife-ready products, price and rotate items, and ensure safety and sanitation. You will also handle inventory, PA announcements, and respond to guest requests as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent guest service and selling skills are required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to work in a cold environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and engage in selling within the meat/seafood department.
• Prepare knife-ready products by cutting, slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, and pricing per standards.
• Assist in receiving, inventory, and storage of products.
• Price, stock, and rotate frozen items and fresh meat/seafood in sales areas.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Maintain high quality and freshness; ensure products are in date.
• Communicate shrink issues to management and guest requests to management.
• Make PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat/seafood department.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

1. 1. Provides polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests as they approach the department. Creates a selling environment using selling skills.
2. 2. Prepares knife-ready products for sale (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price) according to Lowes Foods standards.
3. 3. Assists in product receiving, inventory, and storage.
4. 4. Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat/seafood in sales areas.
5. 5. Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
6. 6. Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
7. 7. Communicates shrink issues to management.
8. 8. Communicates guest requests/concerns to management.
9. 9. Makes PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat/seafood department.
10. 10. Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
