Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Carcass Merchandizing & Production Planning to lead and coordinate carcass merchandizing operations and production planning across the network.

You will co-manage the order queue, oversee cattle flow and grade projections, and ensure timely, accurate information supports production decisions. You will compile grade reports with actionable insights, partner with plant teams, Operations, USDA, and Production Planning to resolve issues and drive performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Meat Science, Food Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in carcass merchandizing, grading, or plant operations.
• Familiarity with USDA grading standards and plant-level operating systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and training skills.
• Ability to travel frequently to various plant locations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an on-site resource at beef plants, covering Site Leader duties during vacations, leaves, or emergencies.
• Co-manage the order queue to support production needs and ensure timely processing.
• Oversee cattle flow and grade projections in scheduling software for accurate production planning.
• Audit carcass grading and merchandizing procedures to meet USDA and company standards.
• Compile grade results network-wide and deliver reports with insights and trends.
• Report audit findings and support corrective actions and process improvements at plant level.
• Provide training to plant teams on grading accuracy, camera systems, and reporting.
• Collaborate with Production Planning, Operations, and USDA to resolve issues.
