Job summary

Silvus is seeking a Business Development Engineer, US Air Force, to join the Applications Engineering team. This role bridges RF capabilities with Air Force requirements and emerging trends, reporting to the Director of Applications Engineering.

You will work with Engineering and Business Development to demonstrate field-ready StreamCaster MANET radios across airborne, surface, and expeditionary environments, including up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• BS in EE/CS/related field or equivalent defense tech experience.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical comms.
• Familiar with RF test equipment.
• Security clearance: ability to obtain SECRET within 15 months.
• Citizen due to clients under U.
• Programming/scripting: Python or C++.

Responsibilities

• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live-on-the-air field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to leverage testing data and verify architectures.
• Align with Business Development to meet strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demonstrations for airborne and expeditionary networks.
• Identify potential integrations with industry partners and test end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with Air Force program offices and AFRL for technical requirements and roadmaps.
• Gather field feedback to translate needs into product roadmap inputs.
