Job summary

DoorDash Labs is seeking a Leader for its Bay Area Service Operations team. You will guide technicians to maximize uptime and support fleet utilization within a robotics-focused environment.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Service, you will ensure SOP compliance, oversee field deployments, and develop technician careers while monitoring KPIs and performance metrics to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in service operations, field service, or technical operations.
• 2+ years leading service technicians or field teams, with ownership of performance and execution.
• Experience with work order systems and KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, throughput, SLA).
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and driving results through others.
• Experience scaling operations, launching new markets, or supporting infrastructure buildouts.
• Exposure to robotics, autonomous systems, EVs, aircraft, or similar complex systems (preferred).
• Mobile/field service background (preferred).
• Familiarity with service platforms like MaintainX, JIRA (preferred).
• Exposure to diagnostics, APIs, scripting, Python, GitHub (nice to have).
• 1% improvement mindset and valid U.S. driver's license with MVR clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead the Bay Area Service Operations team, guiding both experienced and new technicians to maximize uptime.
• Collaborate with Service Engineering on tooling/jig needs for field deployments.
• Track technician productivity and ensure adherence to Service SOPs and workflow for local parts/Work Orders.
• Develop career paths for Service Technicians within DoorDash Labs.
• Monitor KPIs, explain variances, and maintain tool/equipment uptime across operations.
• May cover nights or weekends to supervise and support operations.
