Job summary

Rivian in Normal, IL hiring a Group Leader to guide battery operations teams, drive best practices, and meet production milestones. This on-site role reports to the Battery Operations Manager and requires hands-on leadership across shifts.

You will supervise Technicians, Team Leaders and Team Members, train and evaluate staff, coordinate with production managers, and lead continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing with leadership.
• Engineering or Technical bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with SAP/MRP software.
• Kaizen/continuous improvement experience.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Working knowledge of Google programs (Docs/Sheets/Slides).
• Ability to stand 8–12 hours and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Technicians, Team Leaders, and Team Members.
• Train, develop, teach, and evaluate employees.
• Maintain strong relationship with production managers on schedules and support.
• Perform and teach all processes within the department; fill in as needed.
• Support pilot programs and change activities; monitor costs.
• Determine team member activity and plan the battery team agenda.
• Identify and implement processes, equipment, and improvements with Battery Operations Manager.
