Job summary

Rivian Automotive is seeking a Group Leader for its Normal, Illinois manufacturing site. The role motivates teams, drives best practices, and provides leadership and support to shifts to meet production milestones.

You will supervise technicians, train and develop staff, coordinate with production managers, and participate in pilot programs and process improvements to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with leadership experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of technicians, Team Leaders, and Team Members.
• Training, developing, teaching, and evaluating employees.
• Maintain relationships with production managers regarding schedules and support.
• Perform and teach processes within the department and fill in as needed.
• Support pilot programs and change activities; monitor capital and expense spending.
• Determine team member activity including hiring, firing, performance, wage, and salary reviews.
• Plan and set team agenda; ensure performance scheduling; identify process improvements with the GA Manager.
