Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Battery Control Systems Engineer in California to lead the system design process for battery control and optimization. You will drive decisions on controllers, sensors, and diagnostics to meet performance and safety goals.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and validate requirements, with a focus on manufacturability, serviceability, and cost. Strong ISO 26262 experience and Python skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in HV Battery or EV powertrain systems.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience with battery safety, diagnostics, and sensing.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional development by analyzing architectural changes and translating to HW/SW requirements.
• Manage and release engineering documentation per Rivian processes.
• Represent Battery Control Systems Engineering in cross-functional teams.
