Job summary
HDR, Inc. seeks a licensed Professional Engineer to support its Power sector initiatives in the United States.
You will design and review battery energy storage systems, power generation facilities, and related electrical infrastructure, collaborating with multi-discipline teams to deliver robust, code-compliant solutions. Ideal candidates have NEC/IEEE knowledge, strong technical writing, and the ability to manage complex schedules with travel up to 10% domestically.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Experience in Power Market Sector project execution.
- Familiarity with NEC/IEEE codes and construction design software.
Responsibilities
- Support design and review of BESS projects from concept through construction packages.
- Develop technical reports and calculations for energy storage systems.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, and other engineering disciplines for complete design packages.
- Assist in client meetings, vendor evaluations, and project execution meetings.
- Provide QA/QC on work produced by engineers and designers.
- Prepare bid addenda, RFIs, and construction progress reports as needed.
- Support business development and internal design guideline updates.
