Qualifications

• 5+ years of successful B2B business development or technical sales experience.
• Experience selling into battery, energy storage, electrification or advanced technology markets.
• Strong understanding of battery technology, energy storage systems or battery testing.
• Experience selling complex technical services, engineering services, laboratory testing or certification.
• Proven ability to develop new business and penetrate strategic accounts.
• Success managing long, complex B2B sales cycles.
• Consultative selling and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to communicate with engineers and senior executives/procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development strategy focused on Battery and Energy Storage customers.
• Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned markets and territories.
• Develop relationships with battery manufacturers, energy storage companies, OEMs and technology developers.
• Grow existing accounts by expanding battery testing, validation, certification and engineering services.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve revenue and margin targets.
• Manage opportunities from prospecting through proposal, negotiation and contract award.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations and customer reviews.
• Develop account plans for strategic customers and establish multi-level relationships.
• Re-engage dormant accounts and expand Element's testing spend.
• Maintain accurate opportunity and forecast data in the CRM.
