Job summary

Divcon, headquartered in Dallas, delivers fully integrated automation solutions for HVAC, lighting, and mission-critical systems, currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support BAS/controls projects from installation through turnover.

You will coordinate field activities, maintain project documentation, assist with schedules and budgets, and develop toward full project ownership, with OSHA 30 certification required within two years of hire.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in construction, project coordination, or related field (BAS, MEP, HVAC preferred).
• Experience supporting project execution, documentation, or field coordination.
• Exposure to project scheduling, subcontractor coordination, or construction processes preferred.
• Working knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls, or electrical systems preferred.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software platforms.
• OSHA 30 certification obtained within the past two (2) years is required.
• If certification is not current or has not been completed, OSHA 30 training will be provided and must be successfully completed within the first week of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day execution of BAS/controls projects under supervision.
• Maintain project schedules, milestones, and documentation.
• Coordinate subcontractors and field technicians for assigned scopes.
• Track purchase orders, change orders, and project expenses.
• Support monthly billing processes and milestone reporting for review by the Project Manager.
• Assist with review of technician timecards for alignment with project work.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, risks, and issues.
