Job summary

HMSHost International is seeking a Bartender to greet guests, take drink orders, mix beverages, and serve drinks and food in a high-volume setting. You will handle payments, manage ticket times, and ensure excellent guest service while adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and the ability to upsell, with a focus on delivering top-quality service across shifts in a dining environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
• At least 1 year of bartending experience; high-volume or fast-casual preferred.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits and their preparation.
• Excellent customer service and friendly, outgoing demeanor.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and policy documents.
• Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and twist during shifts.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and takes orders; up-sells products as appropriate.
• Follows recipes and directions for mixing beverages.
• Collects payments and operates cash registers following cash handling policies.
• Ensures bar is clean, sanitized and well stocked.
• Adheres to alcohol awareness procedures and safety policies.
