Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Bartender to greet guests, take drink and food orders, and craft cocktails and beverages according to recipes. You will also serve beer and other beverages, manage payments, and communicate ticket times to managers and servers to ensure smooth service.

This non-exempt role typically reports to the Store Manager or General Manager depending on local requirements. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar, upselling products when appropriate, and adhering

Qualifications

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcohol.
• Requires knowledge of beer, wine and spirits and their presentation.
• Demonstrates ability to interact with customers and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
• Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take drink/food orders; upsell when possible.
• Follow recipes and product directions for beverages.
• Handle payments and operate cash registers per policy; secure monies at end of shift.
• Comply with alcohol awareness procedures and manage intoxicated guests.
• Follow HMSHost policies on service, beverage handling and cash procedures.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized and well-stocked bar.
