Job summary

HHM Hotels in Washington, DC is seeking an energetic Bartender to deliver exceptional beverages and service in our bar and lounge areas. You will prepare drinks, handle guest orders, and ensure sanitation and safety standards are met.

Prior bartending or mixology experience is required or equivalent training, with TIPS certification a plus. Flexible scheduling and growth opportunities are available at HHM Hotels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• TIPS certification a plus.
• Previous bartending/mixologist experience required or equivalent training.
• Food Sanitation certificate a plus, required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and organized bar areas.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Check identifications to verify age requirements for alcohol.
• Prepare and serve drink and/or food orders.
• Take orders and serve/clear food and beverages to guests.
• Issue guest checks and complete payment process.
• Follow standards for identifying and managing intoxicated guests.
• Assist with beverage inventory and requisitions.
• Complete required side work prior to shift end.
• Contribute to guest satisfaction scores and overall service quality.
• Follow EarthView sustainability guidelines and safety procedures.
