Position Summary

The bartender position requires an individual that is a team player, possess agility, flexibility, and excellent communication skills. A bartender will consistently display a friendly demeanor, while providing anticipatory guest service in a fast-paced environment. This is a seasonal role with full time and part-time hours available, compensated at $8.75/hr + tips. Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.

Essential Duties

• To understand and practice the serving of alcoholic beverages in accordance with Vermont State Liquor Laws
• Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures; maintain facility cleanliness and organization of workstations
• Keep supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or situations needing immediate attention
• Set-up bar: stock beer, wine, glassware etc. as needed
• Promote and sell products
• Adhere to sound cash-management procedures
• Attend all shift and training meetings
• Daily cash-outs and deposits, as assigned
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements

• 1-year bartending experience in a high-volume food and beverage environment preferred
• Possesses a proficient knowledge of liquor quality and preparation of alcoholic beverages
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Certified to serve alcohol in accordance with Vermont State Liquor Laws
• Must be organized, be able to multitask and be able to make quick independent decisions
• Ability to remain calm during stressful situations and adapt well to many different situations and changes
