The Hay-Adams in Washington, DC seeks an Assistant Bar Manager to support the Bar Manager in floor operations, cocktail menu development, and staff training. You will ensure high-quality service, maintain bar standards, and contribute to guest satisfaction through knowledge of mixology and beverage selections.

Ideal candidates will have strong team leadership, guest relations, and training skills, with a background in hotel/restaurant beverage operations.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management/Restaurant Management preferred or equivalent experience.
• Two to Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of food service operations and a variety of styles of service. Note: Licenses/certifications may be required (e.g., TIPS or ServeSafe).

Responsabilidades

• Oversee bar area setup, restock, cleanliness, and maintain standards.
• Supervise FOH and BOH cleanliness and organization.
• Assist FOH team with service, know guest preferences, and VIPs.
• Coordinate with Bar Manager, sommeliers, and managers on beverage list and menu items.
• Train staff on spirits, cocktails, and new menu items.
