Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Assistant to support the Banquet Manager in preparing for events and ensuring a positive guest experience in downtown Salt Lake City. The role involves heavy lifting, room setup, and ongoing coordination with supervisors to meet guest specifications.

You will transport, set up, and break down meeting spaces, maintain cleanliness, and assist with general duties throughout each shift in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of equipment and setup styles for meeting rooms.
• Ability to lift/move tables, chairs, and podiums up to 100 lbs.
• Significant physical activity during shift for setup and breakdown.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to stay aligned.
• Set up meeting rooms per guest specifications; transport materials as needed.
• Stock meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
• Break down rooms after meetings and return items to storage.
• Maintain cleaning schedule to keep rooms presentable.
• Attend and be available for regular shifts; perform other duties as assigned.
