Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks a Banquet Setup Associate to prepare meeting spaces, transport heavy items, and ensure a positive guest experience. You will set up rooms per guest specifications, stock and refresh supplies, and break down spaces after events.

Expect considerable physical activity, long standing periods, and strict adherence to schedules. Benefits include medical and retirement programs, and hotel discounts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of equipment and setup styles for meeting rooms (tables, chairs, staging).
• Ability to lift/move tables, chairs, and podiums up to 100 lbs.
• Continuous physical activity during shift for setup/breakdown.
• Ability to lift/carry goods up to 500 lbs with/without accommodation.
• Stand for long periods; maintain clear verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up meeting rooms to guest specifications; move materials between storage and rooms.
• Supply/refresh meeting rooms with clean glasses and water.
• Break down rooms after meetings and reset for next function.
• Maintain cleaning schedule for rooms/ballrooms to keep them presentable.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
