Job summary

Le Meridien | Sheraton Charlotte Hotel is seeking a banquet server who can deliver warm, attentive service for events and daily banquets. You will greet guests, assist with room setups, and ensure smooth food service in a fast-paced environment.

Maintain a clean banquet area, report equipment or safety issues promptly, and collaborate with colleagues to exceed guest expectations. Strong English communication, reliability, and a professional, detail-oriented approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience in relevant field.

• Professionalism along with speed and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that details are followed from the banquet event order (BEO).
• Provide guests with the finest quality of service at all times and in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
• Ensure that the banquet area is maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Ensure that at the close of a function and at the end of the workday, all banquet rooms are cleared and securely locked, and ensure all equipment is stored in the designated area.
• Always be present in room and greet guests upon arrival.
• Submit maintenance requests to the engineering department for broken or damaged equipment.
• Assist staff with room set ups, food service, and clean up when necessary.
• Comply with health and safety regulation and act in line with company policies and licensing laws.
• Maintain equipment in good condition.
• Report on any shortages, damages or security issues.
• Handle reasonable guests complaints/requests and inform others when required.
