Job summary

Le Meridien | Sheraton Charlotte Hotel is seeking an ambitious and friendly Banquets team member to ensure event guests are well taken care of. This on-site role offers opportunities to contribute to a high-standard hospitality experience.

In this position you will prepare dressings and sauces, monitor service areas for quality, and assist in setting up and breaking down events while upholding safety and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all dressings and cold sauces.
• Ensure quality guest service and comfort at all times by monitoring the area continuously.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines, etc.
• Serve all items utilizing appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
• Assist servers and set up housepersons if needed.
• Maintain safe serve regulations when serving alcoholic beverages
• Assist in setting tables with linen and basic silver and glass maintaining high standard of presentation
• Assist in breaking down events and cleaning rooms after functions
• Comply with health and safety regulation and act in line with company policies and licensing laws
• Maintain equipment in good condition
• Report on any shortages, damages or security issues
• Handle reasonable guests complaints/requests and inform others when required
