Job summary

The Umstead Hotel and Spa is seeking an Assistant Banquet Manager in Cary, NC to support the Banquet Manager and lead a team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will oversee event setup, coordinate with chefs and servers, and ensure service standards are met on every function.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years at banquet captain position or above at an upscale hotel.
• Experience in a luxury property preferred.
• Exceptional leadership and management abilities.
• Excellent communication and guest-relations skills.
• Ability to oversee setup and service for contracted functions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Banquet Manager and staff in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Oversee day-to-day banquet operations and set-up coordination for events.
• Attend required meetings/precons and assist with scheduling within budgeted labour costs.
• Maintain equipment, housekeeping, safety, and back-of-house standards.
