Job summary

The Umstead Hotel & Spa in Cary, NC is seeking a part-time banquet server to deliver exceptional food and beverage service for functions. You will help with menu knowledge, setup, and guest interaction while maintaining a polished appearance and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities include assisting in buffet setups, coordinating with kitchen staff, and ensuring timely service with attention to guest satisfaction. A flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in upscale hotel, restaurant, or country club banquet service preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Flexible shift including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in a clean uniform.
• Assist in service and setup of buffets, linen, china, glass, silver for functions with knowledge of menu items.
• Set up and break down beverage breaks and food displays; ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain back-of-house cleanliness and safety; comply with hotel vision and values.
• Work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors; flexible in duties as directed by management.
