Job summary

Valor Hospitality is seeking a Banquet Captain to supervise banquet staff, ensure flawless setup, service, and breakdown for events, and maintain high guest satisfaction across all functions. The role requires attention to detail and strong coordination with culinary and catering teams at hosted properties.

The position emphasizes guest engagement, safety, and adherence to banquet standards while supporting supervisors and managers in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.

Qualifications

• Education: High school education or equivalent experience.
• Able to read, speak and understand English.
• Able to lift, push, carry 20 - 40 lbs. Stand continuously for long periods of time.
• Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Check event order details (BEOs) for accuracy and execution.
• Oversee banquet setup, service, and breakdown per standards.
• Maintain clean public areas and coordinate with staff.
• Communicate with group representatives during events.
• Ensure Food & Beverage items are presented and served per standards.
• Coordinate with Culinary and Banquet teams during events and note changes.
