Job summary

Sodexo Live! is seeking a Banquet Manager at the Miami Beach Convention Center to coordinate and supervise all banquet events from planning through breakdown.

You will lead banquet staff, ensure service standards, and collaborate with culinary leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. The role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, a customer‑service focus, and proficiency with BEO software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• 1–2 years of banquet, catering, or hospitality management experience in a hotel, convention center, or high-volume event venue.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service focus.
• Familiarity with Banquet Event Order (BEO) software or related event management systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, preparation, setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events per BEOs.
• Supervise banquet staff during events (servers, bartenders, setup crews).
• Support staff scheduling and training per event requirements.
• Oversee setup/breakdown of banquet spaces for client specs.
• Collaborate with culinary and banquet leadership to ensure timely food service.
• Act as client liaison during events and resolve service issues.
• Monitor event expenses and labor costs to support profitability.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
• Assist with pre- and post-event briefings and evaluations.
