Job summary

Doubletree by Hilton Charlotte City Center seeks a dedicated director of banquets who leads the banquet team to deliver world-class event service. You will partner with clients to book banquet space and propose options that fit budgets and needs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hospitality management experience, strong leadership and a commitment to guest satisfaction, plus proficiency with MS Office and operational oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role in hospitality or food service.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop policies, procedures, quality standards, and cost-saving measures to improve the banquet department.
• Send banquet event orders to on-site staff so they know duties and assignments.
• Communicate with customers to review banquet options that fit their budget and address questions.
• Document the outcome of each event to assess improvements for future events.
• Provide an optimal level of service by supervising daily operations, ordering supplies, and staffing.
