Job summary

Hilton Charlotte University Place in Charlotte, NC seeks a Banquet Houseperson to manage setup, teardown, and readiness of event spaces for banquets, weddings, and conferences.

Responsibilities include arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decor per BEOs; stocking meeting rooms with water and glassware; transporting equipment; and coordinating with banquet managers, servers, and kitchen staff. The role requires physical stamina and flexibility to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Able to stand, walk, bend, push, pull for long shifts.
• Able to lift 50–100 pounds (frequently) to move heavy items.
• Read room diagrams and ensure banquets meet brand standards.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down banquet spaces, ballrooms, and meeting rooms according to BEOs and floor diagrams.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with water, glassware, and necessary materials during events.
• Clean and maintain function spaces and back-of-house areas; handle trash removal.
• Transport and store heavy equipment between storage and event spaces.
• Coordinate with banquet managers, servers, kitchen staff, and maintenance for smooth transitions.
• Greet guests and respond to requests; assist with last-minute setup changes.
