Avion Hospitality in Lexington, KY is seeking a Banquet Captain to supervise and assist with the setup, service, and cleanup of all assigned banquet functions. The role requires a minimum of 1 year in a hotel or related field and a High School diploma, with Alcohol Awareness certification preferred to comply with state regulations.

You will coordinate with Sales/Catering, manage banquet staff, schedule tasks, and ensure adherence to brand standards.

Formación

• At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with state regulations).
• Must convey information clearly and work well under pressure.
• Must be able to evaluate options quickly and accurately.

Responsabilidades

• Approach guests and staff in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Inspect banquet setups and ensure standards are met.
• Supervise and assist with setup, service, and breakdown of events.
• Coordinate with Sales/Catering and in-house banquet contacts.
• Assist in creating banquet work schedules and wage reports.
• Requisition liquor for banquet bars and monitor service.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and alcohol regulations.
• Handle guest problems and communicate issues to managers.
• Cross train for supervisory duties and participate in meetings.
