Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Banquet Captain for the Westin Minneapolis on-site team. You will lead the banquet staff, ensure flawless setup, service, and breakdown for events, and coordinate with catering and other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate has hotel experience, strong communication, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. A valid work availability and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience is preferred.
• Strong communication abilities to relay information to guests and team.
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead banquet team to serve guests during functions and ensure positive guest experience.
• Check BEOs and set-ups, coordinate with catering and banquet staff.
• Set up, greet, serve, and breakdown functions; ensure equipment is returned and areas are clean.
• Know menus and ingredients to explain items to guests; handle end-of-day closing.
• Maintain attendance and regular availability for shifts; perform other duties as assigned.
