Job summary

North Point Hospitality is seeking a Banquet Captain to lead banquet teams, ensure timely room setups, and coordinate with culinary and beverage teams to deliver flawless events. You will review BEOs, supervise event setup, service, breakdown, and room turnover, and enforce safety, sanitation, and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and communicate event requirements to banquet teams.
• Lead banquet staff during event setup, service, breakdown, and room turnover activities.
• Ensure banquet rooms are set accurately and completed on schedule according to event specifications and brand standards.
• Coordinate with culinary and beverage teams to ensure all food, beverage, and service elements are prepared and delivered on time.
• Monitor event timelines and direct staff to ensure functions begin and conclude as scheduled.
• Oversee room breakdowns and resets to ensure meeting and event spaces are ready for subsequent functions within required timeframes.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and assign responsibilities to banquet staff.
• Inspect event spaces before, during, and after functions to ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards are maintained.
• Manage multiple event setups, functions, and room turns while maintaining operational efficiency and attention to detail.
• Assist with training, coaching, and mentoring banquet associates.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards.
• Communicate operational challenges, maintenance concerns, and staffing needs to management in a timely manner.

The Banquet Captain is responsible for the successful execution of banquet and catering events with a focus on timely room setups, food and beverage readiness, event execution, and efficient room turns.
