Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf in Kuna, Idaho, is seeking a Bartender to prepare and serve beverages and food at the bar, restaurant, or patio, reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager. The role offers pay of $13 per hour plus tips and requires a welcoming, guest-focused approach.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, mixing drinks, serving wine and beer, handling cash, balancing the till, maintaining a clean bar, and supporting F&B events.

Qualifications

• One year of bartending experience, preferably in a resort.
• Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS certification.
• Must meet state and federal minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Proficiency with basic math for discounts and percentages.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• Able to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members.
• Ability to provide direction to coworkers in a professional manner.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming atmosphere and provide excellent hospitality by knowing the resort and dining area.
• Greet and serve guests, take beverage orders, and make drink recommendations.
• Mix drinks, serve wine/beer, and handle to-go orders; replenish bar snacks.
• Handle cash; balance register and ensure accurate charges.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar area and manage inventory.
• Assist in all Food & Beverage functions and events.
• Prepare beverages and bar setups for banquets and functions.
• Stay current on industry developments and participate in seminars.
• Other duties as assigned.
