Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf is hiring a Banquet Server to provide prompt, courteous service in banquet rooms or outdoor events. You will help set up spaces, greet guests, and explain menu items while maintaining high hospitality standards.

The role requires strong teamwork, the ability to work under pressure, and flexibility to cover evenings and weekends. Full-time health insurance, PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) plan are available to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to three months’ related server experience preferred.
• Must meet state age requirements for serving alcohol, if applicable.
• Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Set up the banquet room for events when requested.
• Greet and serve guests in an energetic, friendly manner.
• Provide hospitality with knowledge of the resort facilities and dining area.
• Know menu items and share information with guests.
• Write and relay orders to the kitchen and bar as needed.
• Understand event setup, table numbers, and stations.
• Serve and clear food/beverages following etiquette and procedures.
• Carry trays of dirty dishes to the kitchen.
• Serve hors d'oeuvres when requested and assist guests during meals.
• Communicate with guests to ensure needs are met and service is excellent.
• Work as a team and support the banquet captain and assistants.
• Note safety/cleanliness issues and report concerns to a supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
