Job summary

Midland States Bank seeks a Universal Banker Trainee to deliver exceptional customer experiences and build knowledge of deposits, loans, and services. You will guide customers to the right mix of products through needs-based questioning and contribute to personal and team goals in a supportive coaching environment.

As a trainee, you will learn on the job, participate in weekly huddles, and gain exposure to cash handling, deposits, and basic account openings while building relationships with

Qualifications

• Sales and customer service background.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and transport coin and currency bags (25–50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts and review endorsements for possible fraud.
• Provide accurate customer service and balance cash drawer to reduce teller differences.
• Identify correct product types through needs-based questioning and refer to business partners.
• Assist with basic deposit account openings and maintenance requests with coaching.
• Promote and participate in Employee Perks at Work Program & Merchant Services.
