Midland States Bank is seeking a Universal Banker Trainee to deliver exceptional customer experiences and learn the bank’s products and services. You will assist with deposits, referrals, and relationship building while working under supervision to meet performance goals.

The role emphasizes needs-based questioning, product knowledge growth, and participation in team coaching. Regular onsite duties may include occasional travel within the market and engagement in community activities.

Qualifications

• Sales and customer service background.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry light loads (25–50 lbs).
• Multilingual speakers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Receive cash and checks and verify amounts, process deposits and endorsements.
• Balance cash drawer daily to minimize differences.
• Identify customer needs and refer to banking partners for related products and services.
• Support basic deposit account openings and maintenance with coaching from a senior team member.
• Promote employee perks programs and merchant services during customer interactions.
