Job summary

Midland States Bank seeks a Universal Banker Trainee to deliver exceptional customer experiences while learning banking products and services. You will handle deposits, verify transactions, and build customer relationships through needs-based questioning.

You will support referrals to partners, participate in coaching sessions, and may travel for training. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and contributing to sales and service goals across branch locations.

Qualifications

• Sales and customer service background.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and transport coin and currency bags as required (bags may weigh between 25lbs and 50lbs).
• Multilingual speakers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts and endorsements; review checks for fraud.
• Balance cash drawer and provide accurate customer service.
• Learn depositt and lending products and refer business partners when appropriate.
• Assist with basic deposit account openings and maintenance; support sales goals.
• Promote Employee Perks at Work and Merchant Services; participate in teleconsulting and weekly huddles.
