Job summary

United Bank is seeking a Sales‑Oriented Teller/Customer Service Associate to join our Retail team in Lumberton, NC. You will assist customers with transactions, maintain accuracy, and provide friendly service while upholding confidentiality and security standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of the in‑house Sales Associate Training, and experience in customer service. Proficiency with Word/Excel and cash handling is preferred; Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of the Bank's in-house Sales Associate Training Program.
• Previous customer service contact experience is highly desired.
• Ability to demonstrate a sales-oriented professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills required; Verbal and written communications skills in Spanish or additional language a plus.
• Experience in handling money preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel) required.
• Understanding and working knowledge of appropriate core banking system is a plus.
• Detail oriented.
• Professionalism and confidentiality are essential.
• Flexibility on work schedule as business needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
• Ability to reach over teller counter or desk area to receive customer transaction documents.
• Ability to lift and carry up to twenty pounds.
• Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within organization.
