First Merchants Bank is seeking a Manager, Operations to join our team. This role ensures the Operations Department runs efficiently and drives process improvements for superior service and product support for internal and external customers.

The position requires strong leadership, hiring and mentoring capabilities, and the ability to monitor performance through KPIs. A background in bank production and regulatory controls is highly valued, with additional degree considerations noted.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years in a bank production environment (or 3 years in a First Merchants bank production role).
• Experience managing a team of associates.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff, conduct interviews and make hiring decisions, hire and mentor staff and evaluate performance.
• Continually review processes for improvement opportunities to enhance the department's efficiency.
• Maintain sound procedures and process controls to ensure regulatory compliance and SOX key controls.
• Identify, track, evaluate and report on KPI's that monitor department performance and address improvements.
