Job summary

Republic Bank is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Charlestown Rd location in New Albany, IN. The role focuses on uncovering loan and deposit opportunities and promoting growth of the core customer base.

You will lead sales efforts, manage client relationships, and coordinate with Treasury, Commercial Lending, and Mortgage teams to deliver solutions while meeting growth targets.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of financial industry experience required.
• Previous lending experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to sell and cross-sell bank products and services required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and internet applications.
• NMLS registration may be required*

Responsibilities

• Drive financial growth and success of the banking center.
• Sell, open, and maintain retail deposits and loans to consumers and businesses. Conduct outside calls and build referral networks.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and prospects, including outside calls to businesses.
• Lead the sales function at the Banking Center and coach staff on sales techniques.
• Manage current client base and support growth in deposits and loans.
• Handle loan maturities, renewals, and delinquencies in the portfolio.
• Address customer escalations and ensure satisfaction.
• Build community ties through local associations and business networks.
• Identify opportunities for Treasury Management, Commercial Lending, Mortgage Lending, and Nest Egg referrals and coordinate with related areas.
• Conduct regular sales meetings to optimize team performance.
• Learn Republic Bank's credit culture to present appropriate credits for approval.
• Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements and assist in implementation as needed.
• Model and foster behaviors aligned with the Bank’s values and culture.
• Willingly perform other duties as assigned.
