Job summary

First Merchants is seeking a Banking Center Sales Leader in Fort Wayne, IN to drive deposits and loans through effective sales strategies and coaching.

You will lead a sales-focused team, provide monthly coaching per the Sales Management Process, and ensure operational excellence while upholding compliance on deposits and loans. Notary, NMLS/S.A.F.E. registration required within 3 months; Bachelor's degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED/HSE).
• Over one year of sales, management, banking, or related experience.
• This position requires S.A.F.E Act registration at employment through NMLS; qualification within 3 months.
• Notary Public designation within six months of employment.
• Bachelor’s degree would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales tactics with the Banking Center Manager to drive deposits and loan growth.
• Provide monthly coaching sessions aligned with the Sales Management Process.
• Educate customers using the kiosk and enroll them in electronic banking products.
• Mentor guided conversations to deepen relationships and cross-sell with partner referrals.
• Assist at the teller line during peak times to reduce wait times.
• Manage all operations and meet the center's operational scorecard targets.
• Monitor and resolve deposit/loan exceptions to ensure compliance and service quality.
