Job summary

First Merchants is seeking a Banking Center Sales Manager in Indiana to drive sales productivity, grow deposits and loans, and lead a sales-driven team. You will coach staff monthly, mentor tellers, and ensure a superior customer experience while building relationships and cross-selling with partners.

Demonstrated ability to lead, meet activity thresholds, and manage a banking center is essential. Notary and NMLS compliance are required within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED/HSE).
• Over one year of sales, management, banking, or related experience.
• S.A.F.E Act registration required at time of employment via NMLS; meet qualifications within 3 months.
• Notary Public designation within six months of employment.
• Plus: sales leadership, supervisory experience, and ability to cross-sell bank products.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales tactics and strategies for the banking center to grow deposits and loans.
• Provide ongoing coaching sessions monthly as part of the Sales Management Process.
• Educate customers on electronic banking products and enroll them as needed.
• Cross-sell and refer to partners to increase share of wallet.
• Assist teller line during peak times to reduce wait times and fill gaps.
• Manage all operational aspects of the banking center and monitor the scorecard.
• Resolve deposit/loan exceptions promptly to improve customer experience.
