First Merchants Corporation is seeking a Banking Center Manager in Michigan to lead sales strategies and grow market share in deposits and loans. You will coach staff, onboard customers to electronic banking, and ensure service excellence across the banking center.

The role emphasizes cross-selling, teller support during peak periods, and overall operational performance. Notary and NMLS SAFÉ registration are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED/HSE).
• 1+ year of sales, management, banking, or related experience.
• S.A.F.E Act registration required at time of employment via NMLS; must meet qualifications within 3 months.
• Obtain Notary Public designation within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales tactics and strategies for the banking center to grow deposits and loans.
• Provide coaching as part of the Sales Management Process.
• Educate customers on electronic banking products and enroll them as needed.
• Use guided conversations to deepen client relationships and drive cross-selling.
• Assist teller line during peak times to reduce wait times and fill service gaps.
• Manage all operational aspects of the banking center and monitor the operational scorecard.
• Monitor deposit and loan exceptions to ensure compliance and improve the customer experience.
