Job summary

First Merchants Bank in Indiana is seeking a Banking Center Manager to lead sales tactics, increase deposits and loans, and grow market share. You will drive customer engagement and coach staff to deliver the whole bank experience.

You will supervise teller operations, monitor the branch scorecard, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor teams in cross-selling and referrals. A strong banking background and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED/HSE) required.
• Over one year of sales, management, banking, or related experience.
• S.A.F.E Act registration via NMLS required at employment.
• Notary Public designation must be obtained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales tactics and strategies to drive deposit and loan growth.
• Provide formal and informal coaching sessions monthly.
• Educate customers on electronic banking products via kiosk.
• Use guided conversations to deepen relationships and increase share of wallet.
• Assist teller line during peak times to reduce wait times.
• Manage all banking center operations and meet performance scorecard goals.
• Monitor deposit/loan exceptions and ensure timely resolution and compliance.
