Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused banking professional to provide a high-quality service experience. You will process transactions accurately, balance cash drawers, and open or update customer accounts while upholding security and compliance standards.

The role emphasizes building relationships with customers, cross-selling banking products, and contributing to a welcoming branch environment. Prior cash handling and sales exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience, preferably in a financial institution.
• Cash handling experience.
• Successful completion of required compliance and training curricula.

Responsibilities

• Create a quality service experience by ensuring timely resolution to customer needs and overall customer satisfaction.
• Abides by company service standards, greeting customers and making them feel welcome to First Mid Bank & Trust.
• Proficiently service customers by processing transactions with accuracy and efficiency within policy guidelines.
• Gain manager assistance with any suspicious transactions.
• Obtain management approval for transactions outside authorized limits.
• Adheres to all bank compliance, security and operational policies and procedures.
• Maintains a cash drawer with daily balancing procedures.
• Open accounts including checking and savings.
• Performs changes to existing accounts as requested by the customer.
• Proactively looks for ways to improve processes that enhance the customer experience.
