First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Specialist at our Belvidere, IL branch. You will greet customers, process transactions with accuracy, open accounts, and support branch operations while upholding security and compliance standards.

We seek a candidate with a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year in customer service or cash handling, preferably in financial services. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus, and you will participate in training to advance within the

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service and cash handling experience in a financial setting (preferred).
• Previous sales experience is a plus.
• Successful completion of required compliance and training curriculum for basic account opening.

Responsibilities

• Create a quality service experience by ensuring timely resolution to customer needs and overall customer satisfaction.
• Abide by company service standards, greeting customers and making them feel welcome to First Mid Bank & Trust.
• Service customers with deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, cashier’s checks, and other transactions with accuracy and within policy guidelines.
• Obtain management approval for transactions outside authorized limits and maintain compliance with security and operational policies.
• Open and modify accounts, balance cash drawer, and support branch daily operations.
• Proactively identify process improvements to enhance the customer experience and report to management.
