Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to assist in preparing, baking, and merchandising baked goods while delivering great customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will help maintain a clean, organized bakery area, handle product rotations, weigh and label items, and support the Bakery Manager with daily tasks to keep shelves stocked and inviting for shoppers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and equipment as needed.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously; up to 8 hours per shift.
• Food Handlers permit must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are prepared, packaged, and presented; maintain cleanliness of the area.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; clean shelves and surfaces; manage spills.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate products and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
