Job summary

ShopRite of Washington is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support daily bakery operations, pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise while delivering excellent customer service. The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, visually appealing department and adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include assisting the Bakery Manager, managing signage, and supporting other departments as required. The position requires physical effort, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in varied temperatures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a great customer experience while assisting the Bakery Manager in daily operations.
• Price, stock and rotate merchandise in the Bakery Department; maintain a neat, clean, and visually appealing department.
• Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies and health standards.
• Rotate product to ensure freshness and ensure accurate signage.
• Stand at workstation for long shifts and assist in other departments as needed.
