ShopRite of West Milford is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support daily operations in the Bakery Department, including pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise while delivering friendly, efficient service to customers.

The role emphasizes maintaining a neat, clean department, following safety and QA guidelines, and collaborating with the Bakery Manager and store team to ensure product freshness and accurate signage. This position requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak English fluently.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Able to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to handle food products safely and maintain sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Rotate product to ensure freshness.
• Prepare trays to satisfaction of customers and store.
• Follow safety, QA and local regulations in bakery operations.
• Assist in other departments when instructed.
• Work overtime as needed.
