Job summary

ShopRite in New Jersey is seeking a Bakery Clerk to assist the Bakery Manager with daily operations, including pricing, stocking, and rotating merchandise. The role emphasizes delivering a great customer experience and maintaining a neat, visually appealing department.

You will work in a fast-paced grocery setting, handle product rotation, signage accuracy, sanitation, QA standards, and safety policies. This position requires attending to customers, teamwork, and flexibility in scheduling.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Must be 18+ to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Rotate products and ensure accurate signage.
• Prepare trays per Company’s and customer’s satisfaction.
• Follow safety and QA standards; monitor refrigeration equipment.
• Assist other departments when instructed.
• Work overtime as needed.
