Job summary

ShopRite of Bordentown is seeking a Bakery Clerk to assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations, pricing, stocking, and rotating merchandise in the Bakery Department. The role focuses on delivering a great customer experience and maintaining a clean, visually appealing department.

The position requires physical work, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and ability to work in varying temperatures. Overtime may be required and training programs are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to handle food products while maintaining QA standards.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Rotate product to ensure freshness and accurate signage.
• Assist Bakery Manager with pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise.
• Prepare trays to customer and store satisfaction.
• Follow QA and safety procedures and company policies.
