Job summary

ShopRite of Freehold is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager in daily operations, pricing, stocking and rotating products, and maintaining a clean, visually appealing department. The role requires strong English communication, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures.

You will greet customers, provide friendly service, and perform duties in compliance with safety and QA standards while supporting other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Able to stand, bend, lift 25–50 lbs. and work in varying temperatures.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe bakery area.
• Assist Bakery Manager with pricing, stocking, and rotating merchandise.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Ensure accurate signage and proper product rotation.
• Follow safety, QA, and cleanliness standards and policies.
