Sprouts Farmers Market in Santa Clarita, CA is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations. You will focus on production, merchandising, inventory controls, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of retail grocery and 2 years of supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have outgoing and friendly behavior with the ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and maintain a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering and inventory controls and supervise the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and build displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items and ensure product quality.
• Deliver excellent customer service and monitor bakery product quality.
• Unload deliveries and operate deli equipment.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
